First week of the new semester is over and my timetable's not yet settle...2 more courses which are Advanced Corporate Reporting and Training&Development. This semester's timetable also not that good but I'm thankful already to have 1 more free day. My other 3 courses for this semester are Auditing, Management Information System, and Corporate Law. Hopefully can survive this semester too^^.
Just in this week, I'd been to The Mall 4 times! On Tuesday, went with C.Ling&Katie after lunch at Shikai as we still have a few hours before our next class. On Friday, after we went uni for the E-learning system talk, I followed Pingie to eat lunch at "No.4, Spg. 128, Jln.Tungku Link". Thanks Pingie for the treat^^. After that we went to bank then to Mall and teabreak at CheezBox. Yesterday had lunch with Lina&her aunt, Katie and C.Ling at the newly opened Korean BBQ + Sushi Restaurant call "Pines Restaurant" at Gadong, which is just above Lina's mum's shop. After that we went Mall for awhile before I went to work. I went Lina's house overnight as at night I went with Lina's sis to one of the Princess' daughter's birthday party at AAR. This afternoon, me and Lina went Mall again and I was 'again' trying to look for my CNY clothes but still can't find the one I really like.haiz. Must be coz I'm not really in the CNY mood.
Okie...let's talk about our "not so satisfy" experience at Pines. Their services are really good, fast and very friendly :) However, their food weren't that good. I don't know about others as different people have different taste but definitely didn't suit the tastebud of 5 of us. Really quite disappointing for us. We still prefer the taste of Korean food at Ko-ryo in Q-lap. But I'm not discouraging people to go Pines coz you all can go try the food out, and maybe you'll like them^^. Most of the food servings are 'small' size. Both the Korean food and sushis were quite expensive at Pines tho as compared to other restaurants. Luckily we had 20% discount yesterday as opening promotion.hehe.
We only ordered Salmon Sashimi and Carrot Roll for the sushis.
"Jab Chae" (fried Potato-Noodle). It's too soft and too much the capsicums.
After mixing...
Start of our BBQ
We kinda 'sakai' with the long 'exhaust fan'
The signage n Pines stickers on the wall before the door
The stairways to Pines. The fonts a bit hard to read tho.

Nice Pines curtain at our VIP room.
The Korean menu. They have separate menu for the Sushis. Sorry didn't capture the whole menu.
Katie and C.Ling looking thru' the menus. Their chairs in the VIP rooms actually a bit far from the table so kinda hard for us to eat.
We only ordered Salmon Sashimi and Carrot Roll for the sushis.
The "Ban Chan" (side dishes) were really disappointing especially the big onion?
"Kimchi Jjiggae" (Kimchi Stew). This one made us totally speechless coz no Kimchi taste at all. I don't know if it's supposed to taste like that but the ones we usually taste are really very different. When it came, none of us could smell the nice Kimchi smell.
"Hae Mul Pa Jeon" (Seafood Pancake). A bit too thick and once again no taste. Maybe it's suppose to be healthy pancake.
"Jab Chae" (fried Potato-Noodle). It's too soft and too much the capsicums.
"Bibim Kuksu" (Mixed Vegetable Noodle). This one would be much nicer if they put more the "red pepper paste" coz it's tasteless. We asked for extra red pepper paste but they didn't send us so nevermind in the end we put those kimchi sauce from the side dishes. After that then only it tasted better if not none of us want to touch the noodle even.ahaha
Before mix "Dolsot Bibim Bap" (hotpot mixed vegetable rice). This one is consider okie but a bit too salty.
After mixing...
Start of our BBQ

The 2 small pcs of chicken~not enough for 5 of us at all after bbq. But what we were not satisfied was that "no lettuce" to go with the BBQ chicken? I thought lettuce is a must? We want to eat BBQ coz can go with the lettuce one. Really don't get...

OK...I just hope I don't get bash for my not so good comments. There are always room for improvements :)
